Workout Notes:

  • Running up that hill is all fine and good. It's coming back down that stings a little.
  • Keep your back straight. Keep your back straight. Keep your back straight.
  • This workout is famous for blistering thumbs. Gloves?
  • Note the two 30 sets.
  • If your low back begins to object - be done.
  • Come a little early and warm up. After you are warm, do some light stretching. Especially low back and piriformis

Green Coffee Bean Extract doesn't work as advertised for weight loss? So, Doctor Oz was wrong?

In an agreement with the FTC the marketer of a green coffee bean extract who appeared on the Dr. Oz show & The View will be refunding $9 million to consumers.

Lindsey Duncan appeared on the Dr. Oz show & The View to promote this "miracle" weight loss product. He claimed you could lose up to 17 lbs of fat in just three months - without diet and exercise!

I caught bits and pieces of that show. I had never heard of green coffee bean extract. Felt like I was behind the times. Like I had missed something. Ran straight down to Bountiful nutrition (within 2 hrs of the show) to check this stuff out. They had already sold out. Zoomed down to GNC - also out! Started making phone calls - NOTHING.

They sold millions.

Wonder why only $9 mil in fines? Estimates were that this company alone sold more than a million bottles (a VERY low estimate) of product. If you figure the avg price of a bottle was $30, that's over $30 million gross revenue. Minus the actual cost (about $4 - a high estimate), that generated a tidy profit of  $26 million. Minus the FTC fine ($9 mil) that no one will really claim, They still made over $17 million!

Let me see if I've got this straight. I can make a bogus product, lie to everyone about it, get in trouble by the FTC (fined even), be skewered at a Congressional hearing, and STILL make a net profit of over $17 mil?

Is it any wonder why there is so much corruption in the health/fitness/nutrition industry?

I suck at taking pics with my iphone. She was way up over the bar in all the blurry pics! :) (Sage's 1st - Congrats!)
