Workout Notes:

  1. The intention of this workout is to spike your HR with a sprinted row + heavy weights then force it to recover under moderate activity.

  2. To get the most out of this workout, come a little early and play with the weights you'll be using during the workout. Start light then find 85% of your 10 RM for each of the weight exercises above. I need you at or near your 10 rep max (RM) throughout the workout. Only when you are ready though. Rookies don't even try it.

  3. To give you an idea, Rob H. pulled a 185 for DL, 13 on the pull-downs and used 40s OH!

  4. Feeling froggy? Do dead hang pullups. Don’t know what those are - YOU AREN’T READY!

  5. Now, plow this thing!

  6. Also, if you run into bottlenecks on the equipment, just run! 1 minute please.

Went up to Hardware Ranch with all the kids this weekend. Ever been?

Hardware Ranch Wildlife Management Area (WMA) — located at the top of Blacksmith Fork Canyon in northern Utah — provides habitat that supports a variety of wildlife species and public access for wildlife viewing, hunting, fishing and other outdoor recreation.

During the winter months, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources feeds between 500 and 600 Rocky Mountain Elk in the big meadow near the visitor center each day. The grass hay used to feed the elk — approximately 300 tons — is grown on the WMA throughout the summer.
