 Lately I have been on a kick about eating foods in their season. There is something very natural and healthy about doing this.  It is my opinion that the next big food trend (like Paleo eating) will be "seasonal eating."  Seasonal eating just makes sense.  Eating a food in its season is more tasty and nutritious.  It also helps support the local economy.  

When I was little, I HATED this time of year...It meant mom was going to feed us asparagus, which I used to hate.  When she did it again today (we were out at the farm to celebrate Father's Day) I reveled in it.  Even went hunting asparagus with little sis.  Here is a Video.  I plan to do a bunch more of this kind of thing in the future.

While native to Eastern Europe wild asparagus is abundant in Utah!  You'd be surprised what you can find to eat in your back yard.
