A few of you have expressed that you'd feel weird buying a Burpee Mile t-shirt since you can't make it to the event on Saturday.  That you wouldn't feel right about wearing it around having not completed a mile of burpees.  

As I think about it, I'm not sure I wouldn't feel the same way were I unable to make it on Saturday.  I'm not sure what I'd say if someone looked at my cool "Burpee Mile" shirt and asked, "You did a MILE of burpees???"  I might feel a little sheepish about my answer to this if I didn't - but for the cause.  

The thing is, Burpee Mile isn't about you and me completing a mile's worth of burpees, right?  Not at all.  The cool thing about wearing that shirt is that doing so wouldn't have ANYTHING to do with either you OR me.  The more I think about it, the more I get excited about someone asking the question above to someone who didn't even do ONE burpee that day.  Because although they didn't do burps, they still participated.  And ANY question directed toward that shirt would be an outstanding opportunity to give voice to a worthy cause.  Hopefully even create discussion on solutions to deplorable atrocities faced by too many children (1 would be too many).
